Granville Island

Photo Outing to Granville Island Public Market and Other Island Sites on November 21, 2009

Subjects: To quote from the Granville Island website: “It’s impossible to talk about Granville Island without mentioning the food! The centre of our gastronomic delight, and in fact, the centrepiece of the Island’s shopping experience is the Public Market.” But while great food makes for great photography, do not limit yourself to only the market as there are many other subjects available. Granville Island has artisans of every kind with their creative works on display. Remember the island was an industrial area with many of the buildings providing unique views of False Creek and the downtown area of Vancouver. Your photography is limited only by your imagination.

After you have roamed the area and recorded the many fascinating sites, let’s meet back at our starting point at 3:30PM to share our experiences and maybe some of the food and drink. For those who prefer a beer or some wine, we can mosey over to Bridges Bistro only about 100 feet from the market.
