Fort Langley 2.0

Here we go again..... This will be the club's second attempt to do an outing to Fort Langley.  Last year's attempt was prevented by the power outage and poor weather during the Cranberry Festival.  This time around, we will be taking advantage of the Parks Canada Discovery Pass which gives free admission to all Parks Canada locations for the entire year of 2017 for the Canada 150th anniversary celebrations.

Located at 23433 Mavis Avenue in Fort Langley, you can drive to the Fort by using Highway 1 and get off at the 232nd Street exit going North.  Follow the “beaver” signs along 232nd Street until you reach the stop sign at Glover Road.  Turn right and continue into the village of Fort Langley.  Turn right on Mavis Avenue at the flashing lights, just before the railway tracks.  The parking lot is at the end of the street.  We can meet at the entrance to the fort between 0930-1000.  The fort opens at 10am.

Anybody who has not previously signed up to attend this outing and wishes to attend, please RSVP to outings@nwphoto.org so I know how many walking tour kits to bring with me.

Transit Users:  From New Westminster Station, board an Eastbound SkyTrain to King George no later than 0800am.  Get off at Surrey Central Station and board the “503 Aldergrove” bus from Bay 6.  Ride the bus all the way to Langley Centre.  At Langley Centre, transfer to the “C62 Walnut Grove” bus from Bay 6 and get off at 96ave and Glover Road.  It is a short walk to the fort.
