Strange New Worlds (workshop)

This was not an outing, it was a workshop held at our meeting (see past meeting information). The intent was to practice some common "table top" subjects

We had 3 stations at which photographers could practice:

  • Mylar: photos taken in conjunction with sheets of reflective mylar, often rolled into a tube
  • Corn Syrup: shot on glass, often in macro mode, you have interesting plays of colour through this medium with a high refractive index
  • black light: constructed subjects with interesting saturations and hues coming from the florescing of colours under ultraviolet light
