Lovely, subtle blue-greys, and excellent composition. The light coming towards the bird's breast is fantastic.
    Suggestions:
Can't think of anything that would improve this.

Everyone who photographs birds tries for a Heron, including me. This one is great. The angle of light is very effective, and the intensity of the light even imparts a glow to his beak. The two feathers at the back of the head are characteristic of Herons but often hard to get. The entire bird and branch are sharp and the bokeh is nice and soft.
    Suggestions:
There's a bit of a blown highlight on the leftmost branch. And although there are some blues here, the focus is clearly the bird and not the colour, so I don't think it fits the theme too well. Pity, as it's a great shot.

Beautiful colour and texture throughout. Background is perfect. Wow.
    Suggestions:
Nitpickers might say that the right hand branch is over-exposed and that the bird should have more room in front of it than behind it. These things might lose it points in a competition.

Strong subject, basically alone in the image. Soft tones (shutter speed) of the water create a gentle non-cluttered background.
    Suggestions:
No suggestions to make. Great job.

Very nice. Love the blue-greys and the bird is just lovely.
    Suggestions:
I'd prefer to see more space in front of the bird rather than behind the bird, but that's just a minor thing. I think this works as is.
