    Strengths:
A good fit for the theme. Nicely exposed and framed with a selective depth of field.
    Suggestions:
I wonder about the inclusion of a bit more environment, but the shot works as-is.

    Strengths:
Good separation of the many and the background in terms of tones.

    Strengths:
You have caught a nice quiet moment. Good use of depth of field to isolate the subject.

    Strengths:
A reminder that fewer and fewer people read paper books these days. B&W treatment helps reduce distractions from colours in background. nearly square crop helps emphasise the centre located subject.
    Suggestions:
There are some mergers going on here that add some distraction. The horizontal handrail that runs through the subject's head as well as the bridge pylons that come out of the subject's head (that one is the most distracting to me?)

A slightly different angle could have fixed the bridge. Going to a full square crop would get rid of the bridge structure at the top that (being bright/white) is pulling the eye away from the darker subject.

A shallower DOF might have blurred the railing/bridge more, but you might be hard pressed to keep subject in focus to make it that shallow at that distance from the subject.

    Perfect photo for the theme.
    Suggestions:
The supports of the bridge look like they are coming from the subject's head.

    Strengths:
A good character study; the monochrome conversion simplifies the image and leaves the attention on the subject and adds to the quiet feel of the subject; good tonal range ... Nancy

    Nothing. It works.
