    Strengths:

Amazing depth of field - almost perfectly sharp throughout.   The contrast is good; the shadows give a feeling of depth.  It almost has a feeling of motion, even though the toothpicks aren't in a spiral.  Fun to view.

    Suggestions:

A couple of the broken ones near the centre draw my attention a bit, but not enough to call it a "distraction".

The subject stands out due to the black background and the tiny highlights at the end of each toothpick. Your photo illustrates a creative idea for the theme and you've carried out that idea with a high level of technical excellence!

    Suggestions:

I love the shot, however, one little thing doesn't seem right to me. I don't think including a toothpick with a crushed end adds anything to the composition, rather it detracts from it. Just my humble opinion.

Wonderful idea for this theme! The more one's eye roams over the surface, the more interesting little patterns and deviations become evident. Black background 100% right.

    Suggestions:

To zoom in (or crop) even more, really immersing the eye in the toothpick tips to an almost abstract degree. That could simply be another variation on an already successful image.

Unique; the composition and aspect ratio work perfectly together.  Pure black background is ideal.

    Strengths:

This is a sharp (no pun intended) interpretation of the theme. I like the circular symetry and pattern of the many sharp pointsof the toothpicks and that the contrast between the subject and  the solid pure black background is very effective in making the points of the toothpicks stand out.

A very good captivating image.  Well done.

    Suggestions:

A shame that there are a few toothpick points that have been damaged  that becomes a distraction and spoils the symetrical pattern of the toothpick points.
