The way you have staged and lit this image brings the "guilt" part of guilty pleasure to the fore. The strong shadows, the empty and tipped cartons, and slight "gloom" to the light all work well to lend that guilty emotion to the shot. The fact that the middle carton is called "chocolate therapy" is the perfect grace note.
Another fun interpretation of the theme. You must have had a lot of Ferro Roche at hand.
Really a wonderful idea, love the colour, we are all familiar and comfortable with this well known chocolate. The whole sceen is a vision of comfort and familiarity. Great capture!
What would happen if we messed the sceen up a bit? Take a bite out of the cookie, messs up the board and have a big drink of the hot chocolate, a few wrappers never hurt anyone. Just me, a great shot!
Great idea of representing a theme. Lovely image with the contrast color.
Maybe crop a bit on the top and bottom. But it's a minor thing to do.
1st, I want to play backgammon with you! Fun interpretation of the theme. Nicely composed. Lovely rich colours and textures.
The shadows are a bit harsh, making the image feel a bit tense. If that is what you want, great. But, the subject seems playful and light, so consider some fill light or reflected light to soften the shadows and lift the "tension"
My personal favourite interpretation of the theme. A murder mystery, a cuppa and goodies. How great does it get!! The compositon is good, that sense of someone just away for a minute and expected back. Nice balance.
The image appears to be a bit under lit or under exposed, and a touch shadowy. Consider a reflector off to the left-front to fill some shadows and add a bit of light.
This is a pretty awesome shot!! The mystery here is: why is the featured book NOT by Agatha? Hmmm, ...truly a case for Inspector Poirot!
I like the arrangement of elements; the chocolates, cookies and hot chocolate set the scene for an enjoyable 'read'.
The books make this shot, the explosion of colour is great
a few of those wrappers and a less full chocolate bowl. Truly a favorite!
A beautiful food / product shot. Nice balance to the composition; The "broken" surfaces lend wonderful texture and balance to the image. The reflection is great.
The image feels just a little tight. A bit more of the reflection at the front edge might be interesting.
Thanks for your thoughtful comment. Your suggestion is a good one; I will keep it in mind for when I next do a 'set-up' shot.
An interesting interpretation of the theme. The pearls and the perfume, combined with the title create a story in the mind. Nice exposure of the glass bottle
Would like to see a bit more of the foreground; The pearls lead the eye that way, and then it is chopped off.
Thanks for your comment. Your suggestion is a good one.
I am reminded during this time of Covid, that I have almost forgotten about perfume. My choice as well
I like contrast and would like to see a darker background, but that's me.
The closeful really lets us enjoy the contrasting textures - the smooth of the butter and jam, and the crumb of the bread. Very effective. Nicely staged. The jam jar in the corner anchors the image.
The white balance of the image seems a bit off - both the bread and the jam seem not quite right. Without being there, one can't know for sure, but it looks as if it needs a bit a compensation for a warm light source
Thank you for your thoughtful comments. After repeated tries, I gained a new appreciation for photographing butter and that jam just kept looking weird.
Yes, I feel it, thank you. The jam on the buttered bun, truly Guility.
I picked this as my favorite, it is simple and uncomplicated, the way a pleasure should be. Thank you.
Well, you have effectively communicated chocolate craving. A nicely staged still life. The red background is a nice complement to the blues.
nice colour grouping, the folds in the fabric are very seductive.
How can you leave the wrappers on? Guilty Pleasure, open those chocolates!
The black and blue tone make this photo very interesting. Very balancing on both sides and the side rails lead my eyes to the end of the 'tunnel'. Beautifully done!
There is a plank (I think) and also a section of the step at the foreground that seem to mess up the alignment of the photo. If possible, I would take them out by editing tool.
The high contrast and split toning have created a really compelling image. It actually feels like "alone". Loads of drama. Good perspectve and sense of depth. That is it a bit blurry seems to lend a dream-like quality, which suits the image and theme.
Very nice, good colour control throughout.
I understand that feeling, a pleasure it is!
A well composed food shot. Love the sprinkled chocolaaate as a base. The placement of the fork, and the missing bite lend story to the subject. Oh, and yum.
The fork and the icing are well lit and exposed. The dark chocolate of the cake is not as well exposed. Consider a bit more fill light on the near-left side to really highlight the fluffy crumb of the cake.
I like the mood of this photo. The more I look at it, the more I like it. It seems busy at the first glance, then I get to like it busy just outside on street while you're quiet inside enjoying the beer.
It would be even better if the flower wasn't cut off and the top frame of the window was aligned.
Great perspective. The strong yellow of the glass of beer anchors the image and pulls the eye back from the exploration of the table and out the window. A really nice sense of context. This has an intimate "being there" sort of feel.
Perfect window lighting creates a nice warm ambiance! Very interesting texture in the sharply focused glassware!
Great image. It's my favorite. It's showing the special atmosphere of Wine Cellar. Great job.
not any
An interesting interpretation of the theme. You've captures an iintimate, somewhat "secret" feel with this image that suits the theme. Nice diagonal lines leading the eye deeper into the room, and the single figure in the corner rewards the travel.
Interesting lighting. The shadows in front of the objects is appealing and effective. The empty bottle and glass capture that "guilt" part of the theme. The rich green is so attractive. Nice balance between the heavier weight of the bottle with the sparkle of the glass.
Great, clear B&W image. The one's eye is running from the glass to the buttles. The light and shadow work great here.
Well done
The empty bottles, tipped over glasses and the gloomy tones really capture the "guilt" part of the theme. Very effective.
It looks like someone was on quite a bender, lol. However, it left you with the props you needed for this well crafted theme shot, so all is good! The sidelight gives the feeling of this being the morning after the party. Well done!
Mmm, this is making my mouth water. Beautiful set-up, excellent lighting and the empty wrappers add a personal touch!! Congrats on a job well done!
Nice composition and well-done image with a black background that enhances the object.
None
A wonderfully composed product shot. The gold is perfectly exposed and looks dramatic and appealing against the dark background. Nice touch to have some of the candy wrappers as part of the composition.

Well, yum! Such a rich and textured subject for the theme. You've done a nice job of staging the yummy goodness. The lower angle for the shot is quite effective.
The image seems a bit under exposed, taking away a bit of the yumminess of the subject. It is a bit shadowy. Consider some fill light to do away with the shadows.
