Nice intersecting lines, good balance, and symmetry, strong line leading the eye through the image.
The strongest line is the vertical, pulling the eye up. This feels as if it might work as a vertical image. Not much is lost by cropping out the sides.
Nice symmetry and lighting!
Maybe getting closer and throwing in a second, tinted light source off center would give it a bit of a more oomph? Maybe.
You got the lines for sure.
Not sure is a different crop or perspective could create something that would grab viewer attention.perapscat an angle so it is a series of diagonal lines.
A really great find. Really strong use of converging lines to create depth. Really fun use of swirling lines which make a great pattern.
Cool subject and composition.
Some sunlight could have made this a little more vibrant/striking maybe. Hard to say.
Good repetition of curving lines.
The challenge is to create a composition that makes the viewer investigate more.
Fun to see this again! Really strong use of lines to create a sense of depth. The lines form really interesting patterns. Well done.
The colours work great in this shot in contrast with the black and white.
Would be nice to have the bottom slightly more centered.
Great lines and attention grabbed figuring out what it is.
Kudos for the local subject; The reflection lines draw the eye to the subject. Nice mix of vertical and horizontal lines..The two bridges share intricate lines. VEry strong.
Amazing use of reflections on the water!
The slight tilt is distracting since everything else about this shot is so perfect.
Good combination of two iconic structures both with lines.
Great use of the long-exposure to create bright leading / converging lines to lend depth to the image. The bridge is a story of lines. Nice work.
Amazing shot! Love the light trails.
The blurred person is slightly distracting from the best parts of this photo IMO
The whole image is about lines; making a very interesting pattern and submect; Nice exposure.
WOW! So strong image. Very well done.
As it is.
Super cool shot with great exposure!
A lower angle, longer exposure and smaller aperture could maybe get you some star detail behind the subject.
Great images to convey the unknown. Lines of course you have.
A very soothing picture with beautiful colour tone.
Terrific subject; a very pleasant moment of light. The "contrasting" line in the centre breaks the pattern and adds interest.
Wonderful colours!
I think direct sunlight and shadows hitting the shore/sand would add a bit better contrast against the lines. Just a personal opinion.
Good decision to retain the vertical diagonal as it creates interest as a break in hem pattern
Great use of converging lines to lend depth to the image; perfect symmetry. A very appealing sci-fi feel.
Very nice image. Good decision to convert it to B&W
None
Just wanted to say I really love this shot.
Interest composition try to figure out the black column
Text book use of converging lines to lend a sense of depth. The lines lead the eye across the image, and are rewarded by the tiny people at the other far end. Nice exposure; good textures.
Great location!
I would find a way to contrast the lines against something or wait until sunlight reflects off of it, etc.
Great perspective!
This is a sunning study on the use of lines. Strong slightly diagonal lines in the top corner leading the eye into the image. Strong slightly diagonal lines on the right leading the eye across the image to the lines on the left. Great sense of depth. Contrast between straight and curved lines. Repeating patterns. The choice of high-contrast B&W is perfect - simplify the study. Really amazing work. I hope you print it on something shiny.
Love the repetition and the diagonal lines
Wow! Such a lot of energy with this image. The POV puts all the "horizontal" lines in an upward diagonal, drawing the eye across the image from the left. The repeating lines and shapes make a pleasing pattern.
This image might benefit from stronger contrast - make the light tones as close to white as possible and really crunch the darks. For the theme, it would make the lines an even stronger story.
Beautiful composition, the vertical strait up view creates interesr
A very WOW image. Interestingly both representational and abstract at the same time. Strong symettry, but dynamic due to the strong diagonals. Nice use of editing to give a sense of glow, which suits the abstract feel.
None.
Strong subject for the theme. The backlight, giving strong contrast is perfect for the subject. The complement of the vertical and diagonal lines, and the straight lines punctuated by a few curves makes a pleasing pattern.
The image feels a bit "dull" in tone. Consider brighting your white until they are just about blown, and increasing clarity to give the image real pop. This would strengthen the graphic impact of the lines.
Wonderful subject! Love finding leaves lik this.
Maybe use a flash to add some contrast? It honestly looks great anyways.
A nice diagonal composition; lovely, warm almost monochrome palette. The delicate tracery of the leaf is well captured.
While I can certainly see the lines in the leaf, in this low-contract image, the lines neither lead the eye nor form a story. Perhaps a stronger, more contrasty edit would enhance the lines.
A clever interpretation of the theme. It makes a pleasing abstract.
The image is very soft, and so neither the individual hairs nort the coloured bands form "lines" The lines might form more of the story if the image was more contrasty, or more sharply focused.
A strong use of repeating lines to form interesting shapes. The diagonals add energy, and the composition does a good job of suggesting depth while keeping everything in focus.
Some of the white in back, in particular the tanks, distract from the strong foreground subject. Consider removing the background - maybe cloning out the tanks. Or, at least reducing the brightness and contrast of the background.
An interesting technique to leave the sky unaltered by the filter you used to created the sketch effect of the shore, tree and water.
This image really only has one "line" that draws attention, and that is the bank on the far shore of the river. The rest is more a pattern of tiny outlines. These little lines neither call the attention of the eye nor make up part of the story. Perhaps taking the technique even farther, super-simplifying the image to it's critical lines would be interesting.
Terrific subject for the theme. This is a story of lines, and the shapes and patterns that they make. Your verticals are strongly vertical, which is important to ancor the image. You have a sense of depth which pulls the eye in.
It would be interesting to see how this image would work with strong contrast, especially taking the brights right up to the edge. It might give the image more pop to draw the eye to and support the story of the strong lines.
Very good finding. Great highlighting by the sun's rays lines.
The image is a bit soft, anyway, it is great.
Great choice of subject for the theme. The bright, contrasty light really highlights the radiating lines, and creates interesting patterns. Dark at the edges to hold the eye in, with a nice bright path from the eye to enter the image from the bottom. Excellent.
Good idea to shoot branches of whipping willow. looks like a graphic drawing.
Did you try to convert the image to B&W?
I believe it will be better.
The high contrast and monochrome presentation highlight the appealing pattern made by the tangled lines. It is especially good as nothing behind distracts from the pattern. Nicely seen.
What an intriguing interpretation of the theme. I'd never have thought of macro and it works very well. the two very strong diagionals cutting up across the image give it strong energy and form perfectly balanced trianges which seem to serve as a frame for the intriguingly coloured verticals formed by the textures. Beautifully exposed, with just a few specular twinkles to give that metallic feel.
None.
An interesting contrast between the brilliant, bold curving lines in the foreground. and the more neutral, straight lines of the mast and "lines behind.
The strongest line in the image is the diagonal between the foreground and the background, but it leads the eye out of the image, and one has to struggle to look beyond the colours to the background. As that coloured area has more visual mass, in large part due to colour, maybe a different crop to make is a less massive part of the image. Or, consider trying the image in a higher contrast b&w.
Very interesting interpretation of the theme. Nice image.
Maybe to change a bit a viewpoint to keep the middle lines in the center.
A fun use of lines to create appealing shapes and patterns. The high contrast works perfectly to draw attention to the story of the lines.
The image feels a bit "dim". Maybe experiment with lifting the brightness and enhancing the contrast to see if that worked. And, I wonder if B&W would be good, alternately I'm wondering if the colour could be enhanced. Not so much better as different versions.
An interesting POV. It makes an intriguing story of a moment. The high contrast presentation makes the lines an interesting part of the story. The complementary / contrasting tones cool on top and warm underneath add interest and pull attention to the lines under the "floor".
My eye wishes that the upper vertical lines were either truly vertical, or more tipped. Some perspective editing might reward.

A really intriguing subject; strong vertical lines;
