Very interesting and evocative subject;  lovely rich tones and textures.  The negative space lends importance to the subject, and adds poignancy.

    Suggestions:

The strong vignette does enclose the subject, but it also draws attention to itself as a separate compositional element.  If that is the intent, great.  An alternative might be to use the light fignette which might give the sense of the blossoms floating in a sea of mist.

The red roses on the white background works well.  The dead/dried roses seem to have a story to tell.

    Suggestions:

I would suggest cropping off a bit from the left - to me there seems to be a lot of negative spaace there.  I would also suggest trying to have the flowers coming from the left top corner as you normally "read" from the left to the right.

Your technique is very good, and the mesage couldn't be clearer.

    Suggestions:

For me the composition is a bit lopsided. On the left is negative space on the right the subject.

Wow.   Absolutely beautiful textures and colours and perfect depth of field...  Good diagonal composition as well.  The vignette is very soft and relatively unobtrusive.

    Suggestions:

With the stems cut off in the corner, and so much empty space on the left, it just feels "off" in somposition.  Of course it's the artist's choice, but perhaps a blending with an old letter or something else to just finish it off?

    Response:

Thank you for your suggestion. Like your idea about placing an old letter. Thank you.
