The date of the 2021 North Shore Photographic Challenge is Saturday, March 6th, 2021.
The competition is for digital images, open theme, but may not include an image that has been submitted to a previous North Shore Photographic Challenge. NWPC Members may submit images for consideration by the selection committee to be part of the NWPC CLUB Entry; and may also submit up to three images direct to the North Shore Photographic Society as an INDIVIDUAL Entry.

Members may upload up to three images to be considered by the club selection committee to be part of the NWPC Club Entry. Your digital files must meet the following specifications:

An indoor learning challenge for this winter month. Incense works great for creating smoke along with some good lighting for capturing it.
Member sharing and discussion regarding how they display their photography, digitally or in print. We will explore various photosharing platforms, as well as options for using your photography for everyday items, and to create meaningful gifts.
Competition date: Feb 28, 2021
The Canadian Association of Photographic Arts (CAPA) 2021 Monochrome competition is being held in February 2021. As a club we can to submit 6 images from 6 different artists to this competition.
Members will be able to vote on the selection of images and selection of images wll based on the members scoring of images. In the event of a tie, the selection committee wil make the final decision about images to be submitted.
Closing date for submissions: February 12, 2021

Join acclaimed photographer Rick Hulbert for an exploration of Black and White Photography
Rick is a "Life Member" of the Royal Canadian Academy of Arts,
and a “Fellow" of The Royal Architectural Institute of Canada.
He is a teacher of photography at Simon Fraser University in BC, and leads multi-day photo-workshops throughout Europe and North America.
Rick‘s photography is informed from his background as a professional Architect and Urban Designer.
His teachings reflect his knowledge of both the History of the 2-Dimensional Arts of Drawing and Painting along with the Science of Human Vision.
Rick’s presentation is designed to appeal to all photographers regardless of their level of experience and expertise.
